Mexico Flag, What Does It Mean?

The Mexican flag looks exactly like the Italian flag. The only difference is the national symbol, the eagle, right in the middle. But let's start by defining what those three colors mean (starting left to right):

(1) Green. Hope, some will say that it signifies the great green nature of Mexico and the natural wonders of the Mexican landscape.

(2) White. Purity, also associated with the Catholic religion.

(3) Red. It is the blood of the patriots and the nationalists, the heroes in the history of Mexico.

(4) The Eagle. This symbol right in the middle of the Mexican flag represents Mexico City (aka Tenochtitlan), and the exact premonition that the Aztec gods sent to their people to settle next to a lake, where they could see an eagle on top of a nopal cactus, devouring a snake. And so they did, the Aztecs founded Mexico City.

This was a quick one, I hope you like it and find it interesting.
