Best Food Rankings and Mexico
I've checked out every single website that rates food by country. I've found that Mexico always appears on the top ten. In no particular order, I'm going to present to you my own list and why I think so.
#8 Thai Food. It's not easy to mix all those spices together and get a great result.
#7 French. Great technique and taste, the sofistication of the technique is everything.
#6 American. Yes, I believe food in the US is better than in France, it's like walking in a big mall with all the world's cuisines.
#5 Spanish. Garlic and onions used to perfection. They know how to roast and cook slowly with rustic flavors.
#4 Italian. I guess it's the mastery of pasta, cheese, and sauces.
#3 Indian. Typically strong taste, but a great mix of textures and spices, unique.
#2 Mexican. It's slow, simple food. It's everyday goodness. One ingredient can be performed in many different ways and the twists are amazing.
#1 Chinese. They have everything: spicy, fried, sweet. The collage they get is the best.

I didn't like Italian food until eating it in Italy. No matter who you get your Italian from it's infinitely better in its homeland!
I don't remember any good food from the States: lots of food and lots of sugar, but I really like to taste flavour in every ingredient and I found my food hidden by sauces and dressings. Admittedly the selection was immense.
I'm heading to Spain in a few months, so you've inspired me there
